Biography - Jay Roth
Jay L. Roth, president of J.L. Roth & Associates,
Inc., founded the company as Jay L. Roth & Associates,
Inc. during May of 1996. Founding Jay L. Roth & Associates
fulfilled one of his dreams - to help businesses
and organizations make better decisions by having a better
understanding of peoples' needs, opinions and behaviors,
while loving the work he does.
Jay has over 25 years of marketing and research
experience. This includes experience on all sides of the marketing
research industry. He started his marketing research career
in the training program at General Foods Corporation. As he
grew professionally, he became a marketing research manager
at Hilti, Inc and Kraft General Foods. He later served in
senior level consulting and management positions for leading
research consultancies, Data Development Corporation and Research
International.
Jay has provided guidance to leading technology,
utility, restaurant, telecommunications, financial services,
packaged goods, hospitality, non-profit and retail companies.
His areas of expertise include new product development, positioning
and copy strategy development and assessment, advertising
and communications, product evaluation, customer satisfaction and experience
improvement, helping to revitalize staid established brands,
business-to-business marketing, and finding creative solutions
to atypical research problems.
Jay has also served as an adjunct professor
teaching marketing research to MBA students at Adelphi University,
as a research coach to several companies, as a speaker at
the QRCA annual conference and as a guest lecturer at St.
John's University, Long Island University and NYU.
Jay earned his MBA from Adelphi University
and his BS, Journalism and Communications from the University
of Florida.
Jay is an active member of the American Marketing
Association and the Qualitative Research Consultants Association.
Biography - Judy Roth
Judy Roth is the majority owner,
Vice President and Corporate Secretary for J.L. Roth &
Associates, Inc. Judy has over 25 years of custom and syndicated
marketing research and information services experience, covering
a wide range of products. During January of 2006, in recognition
of everything she has done for the company, Judy became the
majority stockholder of the company.
Combining her solid
strategic thinking and puzzle solving abilities with her keen
attention to details, Judy focuses on company operations,
field direction, client service support, and administrative
functions to assure client projects go smoothly and the company
works effectively.
Judy's research
experience includes traditional quantitative consumer surveys,
site evaluation and decision support systems, knowledge engineering
for artificial intelligence market simulations and development
and analysis of retail point-of-sale research. She also has
extensive client service and data base development experience
as Account Manager for The NPD Group, Inc., Project Supervisor
for MPSI, Inc. and Project Director at General Foods Corporation.
Judy earned her MBA, with a concentration
in marketing, at Adelphi University School of Business, and
her BA, with a concentration in Sociology, from Boston University
College of Arts and Sciences.
